Salty Keys is a Brooklyn-based synth pop musician. Self-producing with only an Akai MPK Mini keyboard and a Samson G-Track Pro, he aims to reflect the ethereal soundscapes and keyboard-soaked grooves of the 1980’s. Hallucination is the second Salty Keys song, piecing together a collection of modern sounds and retro influences ranging from Depeche Mode to Tears for Fears. The three-part harmonies and intergalactic references bridge the gap between multiple genres, as the song oscillates from modern alternative pop to shoegaze and the “Madchester” music scene first popularized over three decades ago.
